[ Petitioner seeks relaxation of a condition of anticipatory bail granted on May 2, 2022.

The condition that relaxation is sought for is as follows: "Petitioner shall meet the Investigating Officer once in a fortnight till the conclusion of the investigation." Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner reported before the Investigating Officer at least seven times prior to the filing of the charge sheet and subsequent to the filing of the charge sheet, petitioner visited the Investigating Officer twenty two times.

There was no requirement on the petitioner to report before the Investigating Officer subsequent to the filing of the charge sheet. To our understanding police file charge sheet on the conclusion of the investigation.

In view of the petitioner wasting valuable time of the Court in filing this application and moving the same, we deem it appropriate

that, the petitioner is put on terms.

Petitioner will deposit costs assessed at Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with the West Bengal State Legal Services Authority, Kolkata within a fortnight from date and submit documentary evidence of the same before the jurisdictional Court. In default, jurisdictional Court will take appropriate steps for the recovery of the costs from the petitioner.

IA No.: CRAN 1 of 2023 in C.R.M. (A) 2003 of 2022 is disposed of accordingly.
