The present application being CAN 1 of 2025 under the present writ petition has been filed, for allowing the petitioner to avail the present amnesty scheme issued under West Bengal Sales Tax (Settlement of Dispute) Act, 1999.

Mr. Majumder, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is entitled to seek the benefit of the West Bengal Sales Tax (Settlement of Dispute) Act, 1999 (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act") and in this regard has filed the instant application being CAN 1 of 2025.

Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and noting from the submissions of Mr. Chakraborty, learned advocate appearing for the State that the respondents are ready and willing to accept the payment under the said Act, the petitioner is permitted to make the payment in terms of the said Act, within 30th September 2025 in requisite form. If such application is filed and payment is made, the same shall be processed by the processing authority so that the dispute can be resolved once and for all.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition along with the connected application being CAN 1 of 2025 are disposed of.

All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of the order duly downloaded from this Court's official website.
