A prayer made by the Secretary, Monu Memorial Institute, High Madrasah vide letter dated December 3, 2014 is still pending before the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Kolkata. That is the grievance of the writ petitioner, with regard to the alleged inaction, in consideration of the prayer of the letter, as stated above.

The letter dated December 3, 2014 is with regard to the request by the said Secretary, Monu Memorial Institute, High Madrasah for grant of approval to the writ petitioner as the Assistant Teacher of English in the said school.

It is stated that the petitioner has been working there as an Assistant Teacher temporarily with effect from January 12, 1998. It is also indicated that a vacancy in the sanctioned post of Assistant Teacher of English is available in the school, in which the petitioner was requested to be accommodated.

Mr. Subhrangsu Panda, learned counsel is appearing for the writ petitioner. No one is appearing for the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances, the submissions made and the records, the writ petition is being disposed of, with the following directions:- (i). Let the District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Kolkata, consider the written representation dated December 3, 2014, after affording opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioner.

(ii). Let the same be disposed of by the concerned respondent authority by dint of a reasoned order and after taking into consideration the present vacancy position of the school.

(iii). The entire exercise as above shall be concluded by the respondent District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Kolkata, within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of copy of this order.

Since no affidavits are called for, allegations made in the writ petition, are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

This writ petition being WPA No. 6613 of 2015 is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
