15.02.2022 WPA/6618/2015 SRI BIPLAB KUMAR CHOWDHURY VS THE STATE OF WEST BENGAL & ORS.

(Through Video Conference) None present for the petitioner.

gd/ssd The writ petition was filed in the year 2015 and counsel for the petitioner had appeared only on the initial date i.e. on 10.04.2015. Thereafter the matter was taken up on several occasions, but no one had appeared to prosecute the petition.

The record reflects that the writ petition was filed with a plea that in pursuance to the order of this court dated 14.09.2012 in WP 6079(W) of 2012 a Screening and Scrutiny Committee was formed to consider the grievance in respect of operation of illegal brick fields. The petitioner at that stage was seeking an opportunity of hearing before the Screening Committee.

After filing of the petition more than six years have passed and it is not known if the grievance of the petitioner is still survived.

Be that as it may, since no one is present for the petitioner to prosecute the petition, the petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
