This revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of G.R. Case No. 648 of 2020 arising out of Serampore Police Station Case No. 162 of 2020 dated 13.06.2020 under Sections 302/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Mr. Suman De, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State, is directed to represent the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

Last of the ordersheet which has been enclosed along with this revisional application reflects that on 20.11.2020, copies or documents which were to be supplied were ready, but could not be supplied and the next date was fixed on 04.01.2021.

Having considered the nature and gravity of the offence wherein case was registered under Sections 302/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code, I direct that all steps must be taken by the learned Magistrate/sessions court (if the case has

already been committed) so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. Needless to state that more than two and a half years have passed since the registration of the FIR, as such a schedule consisting of three dates may be fixed and each schedule must at least be fixed once in a month for expediting such progress.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 1072 of 2021 is disposed of. All pending connected applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
