It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the petitioners were declared as verified awardees and compensation was offered to them through cheques, which were refused by them without assigning any reason.

Learned counsel for the petitioners denies such contention of the State The petitioners pray for direction upon the State respondents to disburse the compensation awarded in their favour.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that as the petitioners have been declared by the State as verified awardees and compensation to that effect has been declared in their favour, the said authority should be directed to pay such compensation to the petitioners without further delay.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to pay compensation to the petitioners as declared by the authority within four weeks from the date of communication of this order upon the petitioners approaching the authority. The writ petition is thus disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
