Despite service of notice, the State is not represented. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be taken on record.

The petitioner placed reliance upon a report of the District Magistrate and District Project Director, North 24 Parganas dated 12th August, 2019 in respect of the mismanagement at Purba Khejurberia M.C. Institution (H.S), Hasnabad, North 24 Parganas. The District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas found in his order referred to hereinabove being Annexure - P/4 at page 35 of the writ petition that diverse irregularities and illegalities in the School. Financial irregularities are also evident.

In the above circumstances, this Court directs the Officer-in-charge, Hasnabad Police Station to forthwith register an FIR under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and commence investigation.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

The petitioner shall communicate a copy of this order to the Officer-in-charge, Hasnabad Police Station.

There will be no order as to costs.
