The petitioner claims interest on delayed payment of arrear pension from 1st May, 2010 till 3rd April, 2013.

Counsel for the State submits that there was discrepancy in the petitioner's date of birth and he was asked to produce the documents on 11.08.2011. The petitioner produces such documents on two years seven months two days later.

The petitioner shall not be entitled to any interest on delayed payment of arrears of pension. 4.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.

Instructions of the State is kept with the record. 6.

There will be no order as to costs.
