We find that the respondents have been served. The private respondents are represented by Mr. Mazumder, learned senior counsel. The official respondents are not represented.

We do not take it lightly that in spite of service of this contempt petition, the official respondents have not taken steps to appear.

There will be a Rule against the respondent nos. 1 (Ujjal Sarkar) and 2 (Sumon Bhowmick). The Rule is made returnable two weeks hence (October 3, 2024). The petitioner shall put in Special Messenger Cost with the department to expedite service of the Rule on the respondent nos. 1 and 2 in course of tomorrow (September 19, 2024).

Let this matter be listed again two weeks hence (October 3, 2024).

In the mean time within ten days from date (September 30, 2024) the private respondents will be at liberty to file affidavits. The petitioner will be at liberty to file affidavit-in-reply before the adjourned date.

On the adjourned date, the respondent nos. 1 and 2 should file the status report that we had called for by our order dated August 21, 2024.
