Appearing for the alleged contemnor Mr.

Ajeyo Chowdhury, learned advocate led by Mr.

Ayan Banerjee, learned advocate has submitted a status report containing bunch of documents, the same is taken on record. Copy has been made over to Mr. Kar.

Page of the status report is a communication dated August 18, 2025 which shows that the alleged contemnor has already communicated the appropriate authority of the

requiring body being the respondent no. 3 in the writ petition and asked for fund so that necessary payment can be made to the petitioners till date no step has been taken.

Learned advocate appearing for the alleged contemnor submits that immediately upon receiving fund from the respondent no. 3 of the writ petition, the payment shall be released to the petitioners forwith.

In view of the above, the petitioner shall be at liberty to implead the respondent no. 3 of the writ petition by name as an alleged contemnor in the cause-title of the original contempt application by putting the signature by the learned advocate on record for the petitioner.

The petitioner then shall serve a copy of the amended contempt application upon the said alleged contemnor to be impleaded and file an affidavit-of-service on the next day.

Pendency of this contempt proceeding shall not preclude the alleged contemnor to be impleaded to disburse and release fund in favour of the present contemnor and then the present contemnor shall release the payment in favour of the petitioners and file compliance report on the next day.

In the event of default, this Court may proceed to issue rule on the next day against the defaulting alleged contemnor.

On the submission of Mr. Swapan Kumar Kar, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner since the existing alleged contemnor has changed his office and one Smt. Shilpa Gowri Saria is the new incumbent, she is impleaded in this contempt proceeding. The formal impleadment shall be carried out by the learned advocate on record for the petitioner in the original cause title of the contempt application by putting his signature and amended copy of contempt application shall also be served upon the said impleaded contemnor and an affidavit-of-service shall be filed on the next day.

The matter shall appear under the heading 'Contempt Application' on July 3, 2026.
