Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing Burtolla Police Station on 28.03.2025, no steps have been taken by the concerned police station.

On the other hand, Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that Burtolla Police Station Case no.57 dated 29.03.2025 was registered for investigation.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondent nos.3 to 5 submits that the petitioner is not even a tenant and is at loggerhead with the respondents, thereby trying to encroach upon the property.

Be that as it may, so far as the relationship of landlord and tenant is concerned that would be decided by the civil court but so far as the excesses, if any, which has been inflicted upon the petitioner is concerned, the information furnished to the police authorities have been acted upon. Accordingly, police authorities will take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion. So far as the other remedies are concerned, the petitioner and the private respondents, if so advised, would approach the appropriate forum.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8240 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
