Mr. Supratick Syamal, Mr. Gautam Sapui ....for the Petitioner Mr. Rana Mukherjee, Ms. Munmun Ganguly ...for the State Affidavit-of-service, as filed, be kept on record. Mr. Syamal, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner married the respondent no.8 on 21st July, 2011 and they were blessed with a male child, who is presently aged about 12 years. Sometimes in the month of December, 2022, the respondent no.8 left her matrimonial house along with her child and started residing at her parental house. Thereafter, the respondent no.8 developed a relationship with another person, namely, Sougata Ghosh. On 14th February, 2025, the petitioner was informed that the respondent no.8 had forcibly taken away her child, who was residing with the grandparents and has admitted him in a boarding hostel.

Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate appearing for the State respondents submits that on 14th February, 2025, the respondent no.8 took her son to Medinipur and admitted him in a boarding hostel wherefrom he

fled away. However, he was recovered from Howrah station and was handed over to the grandparents. Thereafter, a complaint was lodged by the respondent no.8 alleging that her parents had forcibly taken away the child from her custody. Acting on the basis of the said complaint, the grandparents were called at Bansdroni Police Station and they appeared along with the child. Thereafter as per the instruction of the Child Welfare Committee, the child has been placed in a safe home, namely, Bekind Boys Home, 38/C, Gitanjali Park, Kolkata-700099. Let a copy of the report, as filed, be kept on record. A copy of the same has also been handed over to Mr. Syamal in Court today.

As the petitioner's child has already been recovered and is presently residing in the Bekind Boys Home at 38/C, Gitanjali Park, Kolkata-700099, no further interference is called for in the present writ petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned advocates for the parties.
