Mr. Prosenjit Mukherjee Mr. Sudipa Biswas ... for the petitioner Mr. Aloke Kumar Ghosh Mr. Arijit Dey Mr. Subhrangsu Panda ... for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation The petitioner was offered appointment in the post of Veterinary Officer in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation on 2nd December, 2021. The appointment was made on temporary basis for a period of one year only and the petitioner was to be on probation for a further period of one year. The service of the petitioner may be made permanent and confirmed after two years subject to her satisfactory service and fulfilling other criteria as required under the service regulation of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The service of the petitioner is on whole time basis and may be utilized in any shift/rotation. The appointment in the post is transferable in any department/offices/borough under the jurisdiction of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

The petitioner has agreed to the terms and conditions of the letter of appointment and put in her signature in the said letter of appointment.

The grievance of the petitioner is that she is being released from one department to the other in very short intervals. The petitioner alleges that release order is issued within a period of four days or a very short span of time.

I have perused the appointment letter of the petitioner. The same clearly mentions that the appointment is transferable in any department/offices/boroughs under the jurisdiction and the service may be utilized in any shift/rotation. The petitioner is a Veterinary Officer and her services may be required by the department under any of the Boroughs or the department or offices of the Corporation. The petitioner has been directed to report within the jurisdiction of the Corporation. The petitioner has accepted the terms and conditions of her service. She is bound to act in accordance with the same.

The prayer of the petitioner for revoking or setting aside the order whereby she has been directed to be posted at Dhapa and Entally Dog Pound is rejected. The writ petition stands dismissed.
