Case No. 155 of 2019 dated 22.7.2019 was registered for investigation under Sections 323/420/498A/406/307/506 and 34 of the IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the DP Act. The investigating agency on conclusion of investigation submitted charge-sheet under Sections 498A, 406 and 323 of the IPC. During pendency of the proceedings a compromise was arrived at between the parties.

A report has been submitted before this Court enclosing a statement as well as declaration of one Pragya Singh, which reflects that she do not intend to pursue with the Dankuni P.S. Case No. 155 of 2019.

Having considered that the present case arose out of matrimonial dispute and the parties have arrived at a settlement, further continuation of the proceedings may result in harassment of the parties.

Accordingly, further proceedings arising out of Dankuni P.S. case no. 155 of 2019 dated 22.7.2019 pending before the Ld. ACJM, Serampore, Hooghly including the charge-sheet filed therein is hereby quashed. Consequently, CRR 1246 of 2023 along with CRAN 1 of 2023 is hereby allowed.

Pending application, if any is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record.
