1. This contempt application has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order and direction dated 4th January, in WPA(P)/630/2023.

The operative portion of the said order reads as follows:- "3. Considering the relief sought for, there will be a direction on the fourth respondent to consider the petitioners'

representation and cause a surprise inspection of the premises and if any illegality is found appropriate action be taken against the 8th respondent in accordance with law. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation along with a copy of the order to the fourth respondent for compliance of the above direction. The above direction be complied with within a period of three weeks from the date on which the representation is submitted by the petitioner.

2. Learned advocate for the respondent/alleged contemnor submitted that action has already been taken pursuant to the direction passed by this Court and surprise inspection has been conducted and it was found upto roof level construction has been put up. Stop work notice has been issued and report in this regard has

already been requested to be submitted by the Block Land and Land Revenue Officer, Rampurhat-I.

3. Thus, direction as issued into the writ petition has been complied with. In addition, we direct the respondent Nos.3 and 4, namely, Block Land and Land Revenue Officer, Rampurhat-I and Rampurhat Municipality to proceed in accordance with law against the illegal construction which has been put up and take the matter to logical conclusion, after notice to all concerned.

4. Accordingly, the contempt proceeding is disposed of.
