Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record.

Learned advocate representing the petitioners expresses dissatisfaction with the progress of investigation at the instance of the concerned police authority in connection with Santipur P.S. Case No.545 of 2020 dated 21st November, 2020.

Petitioners pray for direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps, in accordance with law, in connection with the aforesaid criminal prosecution. 4.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 16th April, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Santipur Police Station, Nadia and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 16th April, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioners.

It is disclosed in the said communication dated 16th April, 2026 that on conclusion of investigation in aforesaid criminal prosecution, charge-sheet being Santipur P.S. Charge-sheet no.23 of 2021 dated 27th January, 2021 was filed before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

In view of filing of charge-sheet and nothing being substantiated before this Court during course of hearing that petitioners took steps under Section 173(8) of Cr.P.C. no further order need be passed.

Hence, writ petition stands disposed of.

However, this order shall not preclude the petitioners to approach Court below, if occasion so arises.
