Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

It is submitted by Ms. Dhabal, learned advocate representing the petitioner that in spite of lodging complaint same was not transformed into an FIR and criminal prosecution was not started. Prayer is made for giving direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner.

Mr. Shahi, learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication of Inspector-in-Charge, Basanti Police Station, dated 21st April, 2026 and same is taken on record. Copies of the communication dated 21st April, 2026 are made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and private respondents.

It is disclosed in the communication dated 21st

April, 2026 that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner a criminal prosecution being Basanti PS Case No.250/2026 dated 20th April, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS 2023 was initiated. 5.

In view of steps taken by the concerned police authorities, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and same stands disposed of. 6.

However, concerned police authority is directed to take the investigation to its logical conclusion and submit a report before the jurisdictional Magistrate at an early date.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
