Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities in respect of the information furnished on 20.03.2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that Burtolla Police Station case no. 123/2024 was registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code. However, the petitioner is being threatened and no action has been taken by the police authorities.

Report has been submitted on behalf of the State by the Officer-in-Charge, Burtolla Police Station wherein the investigation is said to be in progress.

However, the present grievance of the petitioner regarding the petitioner and her daughter being threatened has not been addressed. Accordingly, I direct that if an application is preferred before the learned Magistrate in seisin of Burtolla Police Station case no.

123/24, learned Magistrate would call for a Threat Perception Report and thereafter, if he is satisfied would pass necessary directions under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 8272 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
