Petitioner sent an information on or about 06.04.2025 to Chandannagar Police Station by mail. The police authorities informed the petitioner that the attachments to the mail could not be opened, as such a written complaint be filed before the police station. However, petitioner refused to file a written complaint or sign the same. Consequently, the police authorities could not act on such information.

In view of the aforesaid, I direct that in case the petitioner files a complaint or insert his signature in respect of the earlier attachment to the mail, the police authorities will consider the representation or sign the attachment and thereafter act in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 8276 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the parties. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
