Several persons have joined as petitioners in the instant writ petition for releasing interest on delayed payment of the benefit under the Revision of Pay and Allowance Rules, 1998 (in short "ROPA 1998"). The petitioners are not equally placed. Some are still in service, some have already retired with a retirement date few years' back, some have recently retired and there are also legal heirs of the deceased employee. In this situation, it is very difficult to adjudicate the individual claims of the petitioners in a composite writ petition.

The writ petition is, therefor, dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to the petitioners to file individual petitions on the selfsame cause in accordance with law. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
