Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the victim did not name the petitioner in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the materials in the case diary. Considering the materials in the case diary and the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 2023 of 2022, is rejected.
