The petitioner seeks to hold a Puja for Hanuman Jayanti on 6th April, 2023 and 7th April, 2023 at the street opposite Agradoot Club towards Sishubharati Ground, beside premises No.112, Harisava Math, Ward No.112, Police StationBansdroni, Kolkata - 700070 and has applied for permission from the police.

He aggrieved by the fact that no reply has come from the Bansdroni Police Station till date. The petitioner had also applied before the KMC for such permission.

Learned counsel for the State submits that the area in question is rather congested. There is a municipal water pipe repair work going on in the said

area. The State has otherwise no objection to the holding of the puja.

The petitioner shall therefore hold Puja on the 6th and 7th of April 2023 subject to the conditions that he shall not cause any inconvenience to the public at large and comply with the noise pollution norms. The petitioner also undertakes before this Court that he shall clean up the area after completion of the Puja, and shall also not disturb the municipal works. Bansdroni Police may make such arrangement as may be necessary in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
