The limited grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the petitioner having pointed out gross irregularities in the operation of the bus by the private respondent on its allotted route, in contravention of the permit issued to the private respondent, the authorities are not looking into the matter.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent authorities contends that the representations annexed to the present petition themselves indicate that the objections were raised only in the month of April, 2022 and, as such, it is premature for the petitioner to allege that the authorities have not considered those representations.

Despite service, none appears for the private respondent.

Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer made in the writ petition, no further service is deemed to be required on the private respondent. WPA No. 7961 of 2022 is disposed of by directing respondent no. 3, that is, the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West Bengal to consider the representations given by the petitioner on April 7, 2022 and April 12, 2022, which are annexed at page 26 (Annexure- P3) and page 27 (Annexure- P4) of the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from date, upon giving adequate opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the private respondent and all others concerned, in accordance with law.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
