The petitioner has approached this Court as he did not receive any response to the representation(s) sent to the Joint Commissioner of Police, Kolkata Police; the Municipal Commissioner of Police, Kolkata Municipal Corporation and, the Director General, West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services dated March 1, 2025.

The petitioner intends to worship Lord Hanuman on 11.04.2025 to 13.04.2025 at the Street Opposite Agradoot Club towards Sishubharati Ground beside premises No. 112, Harisava Math, Ward No. 112, Police Station- Bansdroni, Kolkata - 700070.

The petitioner would ensure that all permissions are taken from the respective authorities for the said worship to be conducted at the temporary structure/pandal.

The petitioner proposes to construct the temporary structure/pandal adjacent to the Club.

In case, the permission of the respective authorities are available, the administration and/or the police authorities would ensure that no obstruction is created in the worship of Lord Hanuman.

The petitioner also has prayed for a cultural programme. In case, any cultural programme is held, the same should be completed by 10.00 pm on 12.04.2025. The petitioner and/or other participants would ensure that the decibel /sound limit permitted by the West Bengal Pollution Control Board is maintained so far as the decibel/sound limit is concerned.

The petitioner would also ensure that there is no inconveniences caused to the public at large in respect of their to and fro movements.

Since the petitioner has been organizing the said worship and/or puja for the last few years, the petitioner would adhere to all the norms and, to that

extent, would seek cooperation from the local police station.

It is further reiterated that none of the local residents should feel any inconvenience for the said programme and/or any crowd accumulating because of the festival and/or worship being conducted at the said locale referred to above.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8298 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
