Mr. Sandipan Maity Mr. Sk. Saifuddin ... for the petitioner Ms. Susmita Chatterjee ... for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection for the petitioner's submersible pump.

On behalf of WBSEDCL, it is submitted that due to techno-economic feasibility reasons, no electric connection can be provided to the petitioner. In this connection, the WBSEDCL has also issued a letter to the petitioner dated 20th April, 2026.

In view of the ground taken by the WBSEDCL that it is non-feasible to provide an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner, WPA 8757 of 2026 stands dismissed. The questions which have been raised cannot be decided in a summary proceeding nor are the same justiciable.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take necessary steps in view of the communication dated 20th April, 2026 in accordance with law. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
