On the previous date we had taken note of the stand of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation disclosed in the affidavit that the Corporation was continuing operation of the Dhapa Dog Pound till date and will continue to operate the Dog Pound as long as required.

Today also learned counsel for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has stated that the Municipal Corporation is operating the Dog Pound and will continue the operation. Since no one is present for petitioners nor any adjournment has been sought and on the previous date also no one was present for petitioners, therefore we are of the opinion that the grievance of petitioners does not survive or petitioners are not interested in prosecuting these petitions.
