Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner was the manager of the concerned branch at the material point of time, the incident is of 2018. The petitioner is now posted at a different branch.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. She submits that the petitioner sanctioned loan to self-help groups who did not exist. In answer to a query of the Court, she submits that the persons manning the so-called self-help groups also do not exist. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 2041 of 2022, is rejected.
