Mr. Niloy Sengupta Mr. Sujit Banerjee ....for the petitioners Mr. Ansar Mondal Ms. Srilekha Bhattacharyya ..for the State The petitioners allege that the police authorities have raided their house without informing them as to whether any investigation is pending against them or not. With such allegation, a representation was made through their learned advocate before the Superintendent of Police, Purba Bardhwan and the Inspector-in-Charge, Sadar Police Station.

The police report is taken on record.

It appears that on the basis of the written complaint filed by one Subimal Mondal, an FIR was registered against the petitioners being Burdwan Police Station Case No. 421/2020 dated July 3, 2020. Subsequently on April 11, 2021, warrant of arrests were issued against the petitioners by the learned jurisdictional Magistrate. Both the petitioners surrendered and were released on bail on June 22, 2021

It is the specific contention of the police authorities that upon completion of the investigation, charge sheet was filed. Thereafter, there were no interaction between the petitioners and the police authorities.

This writ petition is misconceived and the same is dismissed.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
