Mr. Arijit Ganguly Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ... for the State Let copy of the revisional application be served upon the State through the learned Public Prosecutor in Court. Copy is handed over to Mr. Arijit Ganguly and Mr. Manoranjan Mahata, learned counsels, who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State, are requested to represent the State in this matter. Their engagement may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an accused in this case. FIR was started in November, 2021. Charge-sheet was submitted in February, 2023 citing seven witnesses. Charges were framed on 31.01.2024. Till date only one witness could be examined. As a prayer has been made to expedite the proceeding, no prejudice will be caused to anyone if an order is passed without serving notice to the private opposite party.

It appears that there is some delay in concluding the proceeding, especially considering the date of filing of the FIR.

In view of the above, the learned trial court is requested to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible and without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.

Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
