Report submitted by the State is taken on record. I have considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. Bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down on merits on several occasions earlier.

Trial is at its fag end. The petitioner had absconded for a protracted period of time and his further abscondence resulting in delay in trial in the event of grant of bail to him at this stage cannot be ruled out.

In view of the above, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial at an early date, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
