1. Petitioner submits he had no role to play in the suicidal death of the victim. He prays for anticipatory bail.

2. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Victim had an affair with the petitioner. Subsequently, she married another person. Thereafter, the petitioner sent obscene pictures to the victim's husband and blackmailed her. As a consequence, she committed suicide. She made a dying declaration before the doctor implicating the petitioner.

4. In view of the clinching evidence on record and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

6. C.R.M. (A) No. 1141 of 2024 is dismissed.
