The petitioners complain that their raiyati lands have been encroached upon by the private respondents and construction made thereon.

The petitioners pray for a direction upon the State respondents to resolve the dispute and to return possession of their private lands.

The prayer of the petitioners cannot be allowed. The State respondents will not be the competent authority to decide or adjudicate the issue of illegal encroachment of lands as alleged by the petitioners. The petitioners ought to approach the competent civil forum for remedy.

The writ petition stands dismissed.
