State of West Bengal Mr. Arunava Ganguluy, Mr. Piyas Choudhury, .....for the Petitioners Mr. Imran Ali, Ms. Debjani Sahu .....for the State The revisional application has been preferred in connection with N.D.P.S. Case No.47 of 2020. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since October 2020. Record of the case reflects that on April 8, 2022 the learned Special Court was pleased to fix dates for examination of C.S.W 1, C.S.W 2 and C.S.W.3 on 15.6.2022,16.6.2022 and 17.6.2022. In view of the examination of the witnesses being fixed by the Learned Special Court and the period of detention of the present petitioner, I direct the Learned Trial Court to fix at least one schedule considering of three dates in every two months so that the Trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a specific period of time. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either of the parties and all efforts must be taken for concluding the trial within the reasonable period.
Mr. Imran Ali, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State and is directed to appear in this matter and represent the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned authority.
With the aforesaid observation, CRR 1496 of 2022 is disposed of.
