The petitioner has been working in a school in Jhargram since July 2015. He has applied for transfer to Paschim Medinipur from time to time and has approached this Court in the year 2022 by way of a writ petition being WPA 4358 of 2022.

The WBBPE has considered the petitioner's application for transfer but had rejected the same on the ground of non-availability of another teacher. 3.

The petitioner submits that there is a new teacher, who has joined the school.

Counsel for the DPSC submits that there is another application for transfer of a teacher from the same school.

Subject to the priority of the applications of the petitioner vis a vis the other candidate and applying the pupil teacher ration, the WBBPE upon receiving appropriate comments from the DPSC, Jhargram and the DPSC, Paschim Medinipur, shall take suitable decision in accordance with the applicable rules within a period of eight weeks from date.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
