Petitioner being primary teacher made an application for transfer on 26th March, 2025 on general ground (distance). It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that she has completed 5 years of confirmed service as primary teacher and due to long distance in between the present school of the petitioner and her place of residence she is facing difficulty in attending the school. Prayer is made for transfer of the petitioner from one primary school to another in the district of South 24 Parganas.

Respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Chairman, District Primary School Council, South 24 Parganas being respondent no. 6 is directed to take decision on transfer application of the petitioner in accordance with law by 10 weeks from the date of communication of this order. Decision to be taken by respondent no. 6 shall be communicated to the petitioner by fortnight thereafter.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
