Additionally, it has been submitted that the petitioner has valid drug licence, inspite of that, he has been detained by the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the investigation of the case is in progress.

Having considered the fact that the investigation of the case is in progress, at this stage, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

The petitioner will renew his prayer for bail after the charge-sheet is submitted before the learned jurisdictional court.

Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 690 of 2026 is Dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
