The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that warrant of arrest which was issued by the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Howrah in connection with M.EX. 22 of 2022 arising out of a proceeding under Section 12 of the PWDV Act has not been executed till date in spite of repeated orders passed by the said court.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that police authorities have left no stone unturned and has also informed the Missing Person Bureau, CID, West Bengal for tracing out the absconder.

Since the Inspector-in-Charge, Maheshtala Police Station is already in seisin of the issue and is in coordination with the Officer-in-Charge, Missing

Person Bureau, CID, West Bengal, the Officer-inCharge, Missing Person Bureau, CID, West Bengal would submit a report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Howrah on each and every month informing the progress of the whereabouts of the person against whom warrant of arrest has been issued.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 8451 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
