Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than five months. Charge sheet has been submitted. Charges are yet to be framed. His further detention is not required. The petitioner prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. It appears that the petitioner inflicted grievous stab injury on his wife. Material available in the Case Diary connects the petitioner to the alleged offence.

Considering the nature of the offence as well as extent of complicity of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
