Petitioner seeks direction upon the police authorities to ensure that, the peaceful possession of the petitioner in respect of 'patta' land measuring about 42 decimals is not disturbed.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the police inquired into the matter and on inquiry learnt that there subsist a decree passed by a Civil Court. The private respondent purchased the immovable property concerned from the decree holder. There is a dispute between the private parties with regard to demarcation. In the facts of the present case, the disputes between the parties relate to an immovable property and are civil in nature. There is a decree passed by the Civil Court. The petitioner relies upon document claiming that the

petitioner is in possession. It is not for the Writ Court to enter into the title disputes between the private parties. The private parties are at liberty to avail of their remedies before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law. WPA 9543 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly without any order as to costs.
