Mr. Diptomoy Talukder Mr. Triptimoy Talukder Mr. Abir Bhattacharya ...for the petitioner Mr. Debjit Mukherjee ...for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against installation of a high voltage transformer encroaching on the land of the petitioner.

On behalf of the WBSEDCL, a report dated 13th April, 2026 has been filed which indicates that the land on which the transformer is installed, does not belong to the petitioner but belongs to the Government and is vested land.

In view of the above, WPA 8929 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to cause an inspection at the subject premises upon notice to the petitioner. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to initiate appropriate proceedings, if the circumstances so warrant and in accordance with law.

The above exercise is to be completed within eight weeks from the date of passing of the order.

WBSEDCL is also directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 12th March, after causing such inspection and in accordance with law.
