Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities as the Officer-in-Charge, Sasan Police Station did not respond to the information submitted on or about 23.07.2024. The accusations of the petitioner are that the private respondents have forcefully grabbed his property and when the petitioner resisted he was abused and threatened to be murdered.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that there is a long standing land dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents. To that effect police authorities have kept a strict vigil and also have drawn up proceedings under Section 126 of the BNSS. Since, the dispute is relating to ownership of the land, the parties would approach the appropriate authorities. The right, title, interest and usage of the property will be decided by the said forum. So far as the

police authorities are concerned they are not supposed to interfere with the same. However, since under Section 126 of BNSS police authorities have already drawn up proceedings, they would continue their surveillance and ensure that no untoward incident results because of the strained relationship existing between the parties. With the aforesaid observations WPA 8474 of 2025 is disposed of.
