It is undisputed by the parties that there was no illegality in the admission of the students to the said College. The petitioners' names appeared in the merit list prepared by the University for the admission to the relevant College.

It is submitted by Mr. Amitabrata Ray, learned advocate appearing for the University that the failure of the College to deposit the fees collected from the students in due time before the University is the only fault in question.

Learned advocate representing the College submits that the College is willing to deposit the requisite fees through online in course of this day. In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the College to deposit the admission and the registration fees before the University through online mode in course of this day. The teacher-in-charge/principal of the college along with the petitioners shall meet with the Registrar of the University by 12 noon on April 13, 2023.

The university shall verify the educational testimonials and other credentials of the petitioners. If it is found that the petitioners are otherwise eligible, the university shall allow the petitioners to sit in the examination scheduled to commence on April 17, 2023, after registering their names in the university. With the aforesaid directions, WPA 8477 of 2023 is disposed of.
