Ms. Shaila Afrin Ms. Chandreyi Dutta .....Advocates Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the husband of the victim. The victim committed suicide by consuming poison at her parental home. The incident took place after about six years of marriage. There is a minor child of the couple. There are omnibus allegations that are being made against the petitioner / husband and other in-laws.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits as follows. It has come out from the statement of the neighbours that the victim often had to come back to her parental home due to torture meted out by her husband and the other in-laws. A neighbour of the parents of the victim

stated that even on 16.05.2024 the husband came to meet the victim at her parental home, quarreled with her and asked her to consume poison. The prosecution case is supported by the relatives of the victim.

In view of the incriminating materials available in the case diary, especially the statements of the neighbours, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 1280 of 2025 is rejected.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
