Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 400 days. The co-accused similarly circumstanced with the petitioner have been granted bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that by an order passed on 19th February, 2025 in CRM (DB) 108 of 2025 this Court turned down the prayer for bail of the petitioner upon observing that there is sufficient material against the petitioner and he may abscond if enlarged on bail. It is also recorded that the petitioner is not similarly circumstanced with other coaccused persons who were granted bail. In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that this is not a fit case where the petitioner can be favoured with an order of bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

CRM (M) 153 of 2025 is disposed of.
