The petitioner participated in the recruitment process conducted by the DPSC, North 24 Parganas in the year 2009. The recruitment process was completed in the year 2021. Several irregularities have been pointed out by the petitioner in the recruitment process.

This Court on 25th April, 2024 in WPA 20966 of 2022 (Kakali Mondal & Ors. Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.) had occasion to consider the recruitment process and directed that all the writ petitions filed by the candidates upto 24th April, 2024 should be considered for appointment by the DPSC, North 24 Parganas. The writ petition has been filed on 2nd May, 2022. The petitioner is within the cut-off date mentioned in the said decision of Kakali Mondal (supra).

The petitioner in terms of this Court's order dated 25th April, 2024 (supra) had filed an application before the DPSC, North 24 Parganas agitating his claim.

The petitioner is, therefore, entitled to appointment subject to fulfillment of all other criteria and subject to the scrutiny of his documents. The last date for scrutiny shall stand extended in so far as the petitioner is concerned. 5.

It is also made clear that no further writ petitions in respect of the recruitment process of the year 2009, conducted by the DPSC, Malda, North 24 Parganas, Howrah shall be entertained beyond 31st July, 2024 even if the writ petitions are filed within the cut-off dates mentioned in the orders relating to the said recruitment process for the aforesaid purpose.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

In view of the above, CAN 1 of 2024 shall also stand disposed of.

A copy of the CAN 1 of 2024 obtained from the learned counsel for the petitioner is kept with the record.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities.
