This is an application alleging inaction of the State-respondent in disposing of an application under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI).

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that after the filing of this writ petition, the Office of the respondent-District Magistrate has issued a notice to them dated 27th April, 2026 whereby the respondent authorities have fixed 7th May, 2026 for hearing the above application under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act.

In view of the above, WPA 8883 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the concerned District Magistrate being the respondent no. 2 to act expeditiously in accordance with law and conclude the entire proceedings under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court if the subsequent events so warrant.

A copy of the communication dated 27th April, 2026 be kept with the records.

The respondents remain unrepresented.

The petitioner is directed to communicate this order forthwith to the respondent no. 2. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
