Earlier on 12.12.2024 when the writ petition was called, none appeared for the petitioner. Today also when the writ petition has been called, none represents the petitioner.

No accommodation is sought for on behalf of petitioner.

Mr. Datta, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that police authorities have already registered Maheshtala P.S. Case No. 149 of 2024 under the relevant provisions of law.

Records reflect that representation was made to the local police station as well as the superior officer of police on or about February, 2024. Having considered that steps have been taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 9454 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
