Heard learned advocates appearing for the parties.

Petitioner has filed this writ petition against the alleged financial irregularities and mismanagement of the society in question by the defunct members of the society terms of which has already expired on March 18, 2022 and directing the election authority concerned to hold the election to protect the interest of the society by appointment of a special officer in the meantime.

Learned advocates appearing for the respondents submits that for the relief of holding

election, petitioner should have impleaded Cooperative Election Commission as a party respondent in this writ petition who can take care of the interest of the society by taking appropriate steps till the election of the society in question is held. . Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and submission of the parties, Co-operative Election Commission is added as a party respondent in this writ petition who is directed to take steps for holding election of the society in question and complete whole process within six months from date and shall take also necessary steps to protect the interest of the society in question and to take proper steps against any mal-functioning and mismanagement by the defacto members of the society.

With this observation and direction this writ petition being WPA 8510 of 2023 is disposed of. (Md. Nizamuddin, J.)
