The petitioner retired from service on attaining his normal age of superannuation from the CSTC Employees' Cooperative Credit Society Limited on December 31, 2017. He has not been paid the entire terminal dues. The petitioner by way of several representations requested the highest designated employee of the Cooperative Society to pay off his dues, but the same has not yet been acted upon. Hence, this writ petition.

Learned advocate representing the Society submits, upon instructions that, payment could not be made because of financial crunch.

The petitioner is granted leave to approach the concerned Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies (ARCS) with his grievances.

In the event a representation is made, the same shall be decided by the ARCS in accordance with law at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the representation. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the parties immediately thereafter. If any consequential step is required to be taken, the same shall be taken forthwith.

The writ petition is thus disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
