Kundu For the State This is an application for expeditious disposal of ACGR Case No. 533/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/ 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 6th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas.

Mr. S. S. Imam, learned advocate appears for the State. It has been submitted that in spite of the charge being framed in the year 2017, there has been no further progress in the trial. Only one witness so far has been examined. In view of the innocuous nature of prayer, I direct the learned Magistrate in the court below to conclude the trial and dispose of the same, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from date, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. The revisional application being CRR 1136 of 2021 is disposed of.
